Ikiru Shinu is a dark horror anime, set in Neo-Tokyo in 2046. The city is hybrid AI-human, where most humans have chosen to be physically augmented with AI technology. The story picks up after the ‘Daisanji’ or ‘Catastrophe’ on November 17 2046, a cataclysmic event when all AI augmented humans became ultraviolent. The show follows the survivors as they try to piece together what happened and how to retrieve the souls of their loved ones.
